Using the reader
PDF Speed Reader is a browser tool for reading selectable-text PDFs and pasted text one word at a time. No account is required. Use material you are entitled to access and process, and use the site lawfully. You retain your rights in your documents; selecting a file does not publish it.
Check important information
PDF extraction and automatic cleaning can omit or reorder text. Scanned documents and password-protected PDFs are not supported. Keep the original and verify important passages there. Reading speed is presentation speed, not a promise of comprehension, learning outcomes or time saved.
The reader complements studying and deep reading. The optional study-summary prompt is guidance for a separate service you choose; we do not generate or verify AI summaries.
Availability and local state
The service may change or be unavailable. Reading state is temporary and is lost on refresh or closing the page. Do not rely on the reader as storage or as your only source for important decisions.
Privacy and external services
See our Privacy notice for local processing, browser storage and optional analytics. External websites and AI tools have their own terms. Live advertising is not enabled in this release.
About these terms
These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable law. We will update this page when the service or its terms change.
